PORK STEAKS WITH BROWN SUGAR APPLES

4 pork steaks, 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons chopped sage
Brown sugar apples
2 small sweet red apples, sliced
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter

Place the pork in a shallow dish with the oil, vinegar and sage and set aside.

To make the brown sugar apples, press the apple slices into the brown sugar. Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add butter and apple slices and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden and soft; keep warm.

Heat a frying pan over high heat. Add the pork to pan without the marinade and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side or to your liking. Serve the pork with the brown sugar apples and steamed green vegetables.

Serves 4.
