SALT
AND FIVE SPICE CHICKEN
400
g chicken pieces
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon chili oil
Pinch of Chinese five spice powder
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 teaspoon five spice powder, extra
Place
the chicken pieces in a bowl with the lemon,
chili oil and the pinch of five spice powder
and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
Preheat
oven to 400°F. Then heat a large frying
pan over high heat. Add the chicken pieces,
skin-side down, and cook for 2 minutes on
each side or until crisp and golden. Place
the chicken on a baking tray and bake in
the oven for 8-10 minutes or until cooked
through.
