BEST IN THE WEST BEANS

1/2 pound lean ground beef
8 slices turkey bacon, chopped
1/2 cup chopped onion
4 cans (15 ounces each) large white lima or butter beans, drained
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons molasses
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat oven to 350°F. In large ovenproof skillet, over medium heat, brown meat; drain. Add bacon and onion; cook about 5 minutes, until onion is soft. Stir in beans, ketchup, barbecue sauce, sugars, mustard, molasses, chili powder and pepper.

Bake, uncovered, for about 45 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

Serves 8.

Per serving: About 313 calories, 22 g proteins, 47 g carbohydrates, 5 g fat, 13% calories from fat, 30 mg cholesterol, 450 mg sodium, 12 g fiber.
