Steamed Jasmine Rice
Preparation Time: 5 minutes | Cooking Time: 15 minutes (plus standing time)
2 cups (400g) jasmine rice
3 1/2 cups water
Rinse rice in strainer under cold water until water is clear.
Combine water and rice in heavy-base pan, bring to boil, stirring, reduce heat, simmer gently, covered with a tight fitting lid, 12 minutes. Remove from heat, stand, covered, 10 minutes. It is important not to remove the lid during cooking and steaming.
Fluff rice with fork.
